So, before coming here I had envisioned, large sunglasses-old hollywood... not so much. I had a great time here, but it was not what I was expecting. The water is gorgeous and the coastline train from Nice to Monaco is quite enjoyable, but its not quite as luxurious as I thought.
Summer Night in Nice
It is a vacation area, so keep this in mind. Very relaxed attire and the restaurants are quite average--some decent shopping though.
Shopping trip in Southern France!
My sister and I stayed right downtown on the main strip and there was a great spot to grab drinks right on the water: Ruhl Plage.

There are quite a few great outdoor pubs near the shopping strip-all on the road together with open seating. We were fortunate enough to be traveling during World Cup-so everyone was out and about.
