Above shown is the Adare Manor: AKA my second home.. oh you didn't know? I'm a Queen, the Queen of Adare to be precise. This is also the home to a fabulous golf course--if that is your sort of thing.
To the extent, they serve afternoon tea-high tea, they say! Also offered, indoor pool, spa, formal gardens, pigeon clay-shooting, oh and we think Falconry.
Adare is a great town. Live music every night, and to show how amazing the Irish people are, they switch their live music nights so that they don't overlap with the other bars in town. I would say that is friendly and smart competition.
Sorry, we stopped for a pint. But as we continue through Adare we notice the thatched roof houses--which are amazing.
When you are in Adare, you must head to town for the live music. This will tell you how small of a world it is. The band at one of the pubs we stopped in to.. was the band playing at my wedding three days later. What a world, right?! But thats Ireland, my family is from here-They ask, what is my mom's maiden name... yadayadayada.. get to talking.. they know your relatives. Its quite the life over here.
I would highly recommend stopping by this town, even for a night. But, you really can't go wrong in Ireland-Yes, I am completely biased.. but I'm not wrong. It's hard not to enjoy yourself.
The worst part about visiting Adare.. was leaving my Manor. We are planning a trip this May, and to my dismay they are closed for renovations until the fall. Yes, this broke my heart.
Until Next Time Adare..
